SnapX Technologies Inc. (“SnapX”, “we”, “us or “our”) takes steps intended to meet privacy principles and requirements with respect to personal information under applicable privacy legislation. The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform our customers and other individuals we deal with (“you” or “your”) of how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information in connection with our website and our mobile application SnapX (the “App”) (collectively, the “Site”). For the purposes of this privacy policy, “personal information” means information, in any format, about an identifiable individual. You may require us to change, amend or delete the personal information that you have provided to us at any time. We invite you to take a few minutes to review this page.

Your Consent

By voluntarily providing us with personal information, you are consenting to its collection, use and disclosure in accordance with this privacy policy. You acknowledge and agree that such personal information may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of SnapX and authorized third parties referred to herein (located in Canada, the United States and Lebanon. If you have any objections to this privacy policy, please do not use the Site. 

Collection and Use of Personal Information

You can access our Site without providing any personal information. However, in order to use certain features of our Site, we may request that you provide certain personal information. 

If you create an account on our Site, we will collect your name, email address, phone number, password and any other information you provide. We use this information to administer your account, and to connect to our App or to your accounting platform.

If you use the “Contact” feature of our Site, we will collect your name, email address, phone number, and any other information you provide. We use this information to respond to your request or comment.

If you use the “Apply Now” feature with respect to a job opportunity posted on our Site, we will collect your name, email address, phone number, and any other information you provide, including without limitation any information included in the uploaded copy of your resume or CV. We use this information to respond to your application. 

If you use the “Book a Demo” feature of our Site, we will collect your name, email address and any other information you provide in the course of booking or participating in the demo. We use this information to respond to your demo booking request and perform the demo. 

If you use the SnapX Desktop Connector (the “Platform”) or the App, we will collect and store the personal information we collect in the course of administering your account, and any personal information contained in the receipts that you upload photos of. When you import your accounting software data to the Platform, we may also collect and store personal information contained in this data. This data may include your list of vendors, clients, GL accounts, tax codes, currency information and other terms. We will also collect and store any other information you provide in the course of using the Platform. 

We use this information to operate and deliver the Platform to you. As at the date of this privacy policy, the Platform is compatible with the following software service providers: (i) Acomba (whose privacy policy can be found here) and (ii) Sage 50 desktop Accounting (whose privacy policy can be found here). If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we will collect your name, email address and phone number. 

When you visit our Site, we automatically collect your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the pages you visit, the features you use, and the referring URL’s you came from. We use this information to improve our Site and services.

We may also use the personal information we collect to:

  • communicate with you, including through tailored marketing messages and transactional emails, about our products, services and related services;
  • conduct, process and complete transactions with customers; 
  • meet legal, regulatory, insurance, security and processing requirements; and
  • otherwise with your consent or as permitted or required by law.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this privacy policy, we may remove personal identifiers from your personal information and maintain and use it in a de-identified form that may be combined with other information to generate aggregated information. Such de-identified and/or aggregated information will be deemed to be owned by us and we shall have unrestricted title, rights, and interest to the de-identified and/or aggregated information which may include, without limitation, the right to use, distribute, transmit, transfer, license, trade, rent, share, assign, and sell the de-identified and/or aggregated information. We will retain your personal information as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the identified purposes or as otherwise necessary to comply with applicable laws. 

Disclosure of Personal Information

SnapX will only transfer or disclose your personal information with your consent or if it has legal authority to do so, such as in the following contexts: 

  • Service Providers SnapX transfers personal information to partners, outside agents or service providers (including affiliates acting in this capacity) that perform services on our behalf, such as data hosting and processing, marketing and information technology, completing transactions, and helping us deliver the Platform. Some of these service providers may be located outside of Canada, and your personal information may be collected, used, disclosed, stored and processed outside of Canada for the purposes described in this privacy policy.
  •   Business Transactions, Related Parties We may use and disclose personal information in connection with the proposed or actual financing, securitization, insuring, sale, assignment or other disposal of all or part of SnapX or our business or assets, for the purposes of evaluating and/or performing the proposed transaction. Assignees or successors of SnapX or our business or assets may use and disclose your personal information for similar purposes as those described in this privacy policy. We may also disclose your personal information to our subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Legal SnapX may disclose personal information as necessary to meet legal, regulatory, insurance, audit, and security requirements, and as otherwise with your consent or as permitted or required by law (including as required by applicable Canadian and foreign laws applicable to us or our service providers). We may also disclose our personal information to our financial, insurance, legal, accounting or other advisors that provide professional services to us.
  • We may also transfer or disclose your personal information to other parties if we have your consent.

Other than as described above, SnapX does not sell, transfer or disclose personal information to third parties without your consent. 

We provide an opportunity for any user to unsubscribe or opt-out of contact for marketing purposes on an ongoing basis by accessing our Site, using the unsubscribe mechanism at the bottom of our e-mails, contacting our privacy officer at [email protected] 

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies 

We also use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visit to our Site, to remember your preferences and settings when you navigate through our Site, and for security purposes.

Many web browsers allow you to manage your preferences. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or delete certain cookies. You may be able to manage other technologies in the same way that you manage cookies using your browser’s preference.

We also use Google Analytics to better understand who is using our Site and how people are using it. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as Site pages visited, places where users click, time spent on each Site page, Internet Protocol address, type of operating system used and location. Google may track your activity over time and across websites. 

Links to Other Sites

SnapX may offer links from our Site to other websites controlled by separate entities. However, we are not responsible for, nor do we accept any liability for how such other entities collect, use and disclose personal information. You should consult the privacy policies of these other websites before providing any personal information. 


We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information in our custody or control using physical, electronic or procedural security measures that are appropriate having regard to the nature and sensitivity of the information. However, please note that no security measures can offer absolute security. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site.

You also have a role in protecting the security of your information; for example, you should guard your password and not permit unauthorized use of your account.

We limit access to your personal information within SnapX to individuals on a need-to-know basis. Additionally, our employees are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all personal information to which they have access, and we keep our employees informed about our policies for protecting personal information and reinforce the importance of complying with these policies. 

Your personal information may be transferred, processed and retained on third-party servers (such as servers operated and managed by, but not limited to, Amazon Web Services)  in countries outside of Canada, including the United States, and may therefore be subject to laws that do not offer the same degree of protection as Canadian laws. While we undertake to protect your personal information when it is transferred to other jurisdictions, the laws of other jurisdictions may require the disclosure of your personal information to governmental authorities under circumstances that are different than those that apply in Canada and are contemplated under this privacy policy. 

Access to and Decisions about your Personal Information

If you wish to review, update or correct any of your personal information in our custody or control, or ask us to delete or stop further use of that information, you may write to our privacy officer at [email protected] You can also contact us to stop receiving e-mails from us or request a list of third parties to which we may have provided your personal information. 

Your right to access, update or correct your personal information is subject to applicable legal restrictions. We take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access, updating or making corrections, therefore we may require you to provide sufficient personal information to allow us to identify you (which personal information will only be used for this purpose). 

Generally, you may withdraw at any time your consent for us to collect, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. As such, we may continue to collect, use, and disclose your personal information as may be required to provide you with our Site, and to the extent that we are contractually obligated to do so or as necessary to enforce any contractual obligations you may have with us. If you refuse to provide us with the information we require or later contact us to withdraw your consent for us to use and disclose your personal information, we may no longer be able to provide you with our Site.

Age Restriction

The Site is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or use any personal information from any individuals under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected personal information from an individual under the age of 13, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete such personal information from our database.

Privacy Policy Changes

This privacy policy is effective as of the last updated date above and may be revised from time to time. If we intend to use or disclose personal information for purposes materially different than those described in this privacy policy, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you of this, including by posting the revised privacy policy on our Site. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date, active, and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically visiting our Site and this privacy policy check for any changes. Your continued provision of personal information or use of our Site following any changes to this privacy policy constitutes your acceptance of any such changes.
